Artist Statement

My art operates at the interface between nature and culture, past and present, reality and imagination. It is characterized by the deep conviction that a harmonious relationship between man, nature and cultural heritage is not only possible, but also essential.
In my works, figurative and abstract forms merge together to build a bridge between visible reality and immaterial worlds. Landscapes are not mere images of nature, but spaces in which memories, sensations and historical fragments come to life. Ancient scenarios combine with contemporary impressions to create a current yet timeless presence. My painting opens up spaces for reflection on our relationship with the environment and our cultural heritage - a reminder that our existence depends on both.
Through deliberately chosen color compositions and symbolic elements, I invite the viewer to delve deeper into my world of thought and discover their own interpretations. My works act as ciphers, as visual impulses that encourage personal journeys of thought and sensitize the viewer to see nature and culture with new eyes.
My artistic aim is to create awareness and inspire viewers to take responsibility for our natural and cultural environment. The vision of a world in which cultural development and nature conservation are in harmony is not utopian for me, but a necessary reality that we must find together. My art should encourage us to cross borders and discover common ground - because without nature there is no culture, and without culture we lose the sense of our common future.

From lost paradise to art ambassador
Andrea Finck discovered her passion for art in an unusual way: Not through classical academies, but through her encounter with ancient vase paintings, Roman frescoes and Greek sculptures. Her study of ancient art and cultures inspired her deeply and allowed her to develop her very own artistic expression. But Andrea's path to art is also marked by a personal loss: her idyllic home island of Waltershof, which she experienced as a magical natural space in her childhood and which has now disappeared under the Hamburg container terminal. This experience sparked a deep longing in her to explore the fragile relationship between people, nature and culture and to make it visible through her works.
"Andrea's abstract visual language never ceases to inspire me. As an archaeologist and artist, she combines scientific perspectives with free artistic expression. Her works open up spaces for associations on topics such as biodiversity, landscape ecology and climate change - without being interpretative. It is precisely this openness that makes her art so valuable to us."
Dr. Meike Bukowski, Salzburg

With a fascinating mixture of traditional and innovative painting techniques, Andrea creates works of art full of depth and texture. She works with sculptural primers of sand and textural mediums, combines self-mixed pigments with binders such as egg tempera, acrylics, emulsions and oils, and integrates Chinese paper, etchings or copper paints into her compositions. Her works are not only aesthetically impressive, but also carry a historical and cultural dimension. She thus creates a unique dialog between past and present, nature and humanity.
The growing recognition of her work is also reflected internationally: collectors from all over Europe and beyond have now become aware of her extraordinary works. Andrea Finck regularly presents her pictures in important, juried and curated exhibitions on the subject of "Nature and Culture", making her an exciting artist whose career holds great potential.
Today, Andrea Finck lives and works on an old estate near the Elbe River near Stade in Lower Saxony, where she continues to capture the beauty and meaning of nature in her paintings as a creative ambassador.

"My artworks appear like dream worlds in which colors and shapes merge with emotions, memories and visions. They are visual poetry and open windows into an inner world full of secrets and possibilities."
