Growing up on the Elbe peninsula of Waltershof in Hamburg, Andrea was fascinated by the proximity to the coast from an early age. Since then, water has been a symbol of both security and longing for her. The view of the sea opens up new horizons and helps to organize thoughts and find clarity.
The abstract marshland landscape on the left was created as part of a curated exhibition on the theme of "Nature and Man" in 2018 and was acquired by a collector from the Harz region in Lower Saxony. Further works on this theme are currently in progress.
